I begin my lettering process by reviewing your Project Inquiry.
I use this inquiry to assess your needs and determine whether your project will benefit from my help.
After a careful review, I contact you with any follow-up questions necessary to provide you with a quote.
Once the quote is approved, I create an agreement that outlines the project goals and each of our responsibilities in achieving them.
As the client, you're responsible for setting goals—our metrics for success—and providing all necessary content.
As the designer, I'm responsible for making all of the design decisions.
We both sign the agreement and I send you an invoice for a deposit based upon the project cost.
Once the deposit is paid and all necessary content is received, the design phase will begin.
Send Agreement & Invoice
I begin the design phase by conducting research based upon the project goals and the content provided.
This research is used to explore and develop a solution-oriented approach.
Once a viable approach is established, I begin sketching and iteratively redrawing a number of concepts.
I continue to refine and eliminate concepts until only the best remain.
I present these concepts to you for review and you select one to be created as a vector drawing.

Send Concepts for Review
I digitize the selected sketch from the previous step by creating a vector drawing.
I refine and improve upon this drawing by balancing any typographic inconsistencies, adding detail, and finally applying color.
I continually reassess and refine the drawing—over the course of several days—until the solution is fully realized and complete.
I present the solution to you for review and final approval.

Prepare Final Deliverables
I create and send to you a final presentation that demonstrates my design solution.
In addition to the presentation, I send you a final invoice* for the project.
Once the project is paid in full, the final deliverable files will be made immediately available.
